Audiobooks aren’t playing correctly in the Chirp app. What should I do if there are playback issues while using the app?

If you’re having trouble playing your books using the Chirp app, we’d first recommend checking that your app has the latest updates and then downloading the books you’re listening to.

Please follow the steps below and contact us if you continue to have trouble!

Update the app

Installing the latest version of our app will ensure that you receive all available performance upgrades and bug fixes. Please click here to update if you’re using an iOS (Apple) device or click here if you’re using an Android device.

Make sure to turn on automatic updates or check regularly for new updates to take advantage of new features and app improvements!

Download your book

If you haven’t done so already, please try downloading the book you’re listening to by following the steps below.

  1. From the “My Library” screen, tap on the three vertical dots to the right of the book that you’d like to download.
  2. On this menu, tap the “Download” option.
  3. The download has completed when this option changes from “Cancel download” to “Remove download”. You’ll see a green cloud icon next to books in your library that have been downloaded successfully.
