If you'd like to remove a book from your library or simply free up storage space on your device, you can choose to archive a book. Currently, it isn't possible to permanently delete a book from your library, but archiving a book will remove it from your library and place it in a separate archive folder. You can choose to unarchive a book and redownload it at any time.
Tip:
Did you know you can automatically archive your audiobooks once they're finished in the Chirp App? On your App's Settings screen tap the toggle next to "Archive Books After Finishing" so that it turns green. Once it has turned green you will no longer need to manually archive an audiobook after you are done with it!
The option to archive a book can be accessed from both the Chirp app and the Chirp website.
If you’d like to archive a book using the Chirp app, open the app to the My Library screen to view all of your books. By tapping on the three vertical dots to the right of a book's title, you’ll see an “Archive” option that will allow you to move the book to your archive.
If you’d like to archive a book on the Chirp website, navigate to the My Library page by clicking on this link (you may need to sign in first). Click on the three dots underneath the book you’d like to archive and select “Remove from Library.”
You can manage your Archive via the Chirp website. From the My Library page, click on the Archived Books button located to the right of where it says "Collections". On the next screen, click "Move to My Library" for the book you'd like to restore.
If you archive a book that was downloaded for offline listening in the Chirp app, we'll automatically remove the download to save storage space on your device. That way, you don’t need to manually remove downloads for books that you've archived! To learn more about deleting downloads for books, please see this FAQ: How do I delete a book I've downloaded?
